Useful Links

Bug Club

Bug Club is our online reading scheme that is linked to the Phonics that the children are learning. They may appear easier than your child's current reading level. However they are meant to be read independently. The children will be applying the Phonic knowledge that they have gained during lessons and reinforcing it.

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 Children all have a login for this part of the website. If you are unsure of your login please ask your Teacher.
Below is a brief explanation of what to expect on the website.
Fun quizzes = snazzy rewards!
On the last page of the book, children will find a little Bug icon, leading them to a fun quiz question that tests their phonic skills and sends their answer back to you, so you'll have a snapshot of how they're doing. As a reward, children earn Bug points which convert into prizes such as virtual stickers.

Help with pronunciation
Each eBook comes with a guide to the letters and sounds the reader will encounter, so they can listen to the even if a teacher or parent is unavailable. Plus, each eBook has audio narration to help with pronunciation when children are reading independently.

Parent notes
Parent notes are available from the child's personalised home page to help parents offer exactly the right level of help and encouragement to their child as they practise reading at home.
